Blogging about all sorts of things--governance in higher education, in businesses, and in law firms; bankruptcy ethics; popular culture & the law; Enron & other corporate fiascos; professional responsibility generally; movies; ballroom dancing; and anything else that gets my attention.
Dear Anonymous -- If you take a minute and google "Elizabeth Wurtzel" you will find she's not chained to the oar. And, like Prof. Rapoport, she has the stones to attach her name to her opinions.
Well if she's not chained to the oar, what's she doing commenting about life on the galley?
And there's really no need to be rude, you know. I said nothing rude in my post about Prof. Rapoport, about Ms. Wurtzel, -- or about you Mr. Peck, whoever you are.
You're quite right -- "stones" was a poor choice of words, for which I sincerely apologize. The sentence more properly should have said, " . . . she has the professional integrity and confidence to attach her name to her opinions."
Much better. Although I don't know what "professional integrity" has to do with leaving comments on someone's blog during the middle of the day. If either one of us had any professional integrity, we'd be devoting ourselves to our jobs instead of surfing the internet on our employers' time. To my job, I (for one) shall now return . . .

It's not interesting, Prof. Rapoport. It's just so much whining. If the lady doesn't enjoy life on the galley, she isn't chained to the oar.
