Does anyone know how to fix Microsoft Word for Mac and the creation of .doc.hqx files
My Microsoft Office for Mac keeps turning my .doc documents into .doc.hqx documents that are unreadable. Does anyone have any solutions? Thanks!
First, save a word file with the .doc extension. ("Sample.doc")
Then, archive the word file as a binhex archive (Stuffit Deluxe should have this option; if not check for other archive creators) which will give your file a .hqx extension. ("Sample.doc.hqx")
Note, I don't think there is a binhex expander available for windows, so if you are looking for cross platform compatibility, you should use .zip or .sit.
On my party came one man which is developer not bad application-repair corrupted docx files, which use my friends and familiars,it has free status as is known, some times tool helped me,it can farther repairing .docx files and repaire docx document should not be a problem,if you have at least one copy of your *.doc document on corporate file server or somewhere else, tool for repair .docx files allows the user to recover corrupted files in .doc, .docx, .dot and dotx format, as well as *.rtf (Rich Text format),program allows to repair a docx file, repair .docx document, repair .docx damaged files and repair corrupted docx files,it can open your document in Microsoft Word format and attempt to recover any damaged file.

Go to "Word... Preferences... Save..." and choose "Save Word files as ... Word 97-2004 Document (.doc)"

Forgive my last comment. I assumed based on the title that you were asking how to create a .doc.hqx file.
Do what Jim says.
